Happy New Year!!!!

I hope you have a healthy, prosperous, happy-snappy New Year!!!!!

It's snowing here today, and SO pretty outside! Glad I just washed my snowsuit!

Here is one reason I love Chickadees so much...

They are tiny, but fearless!!!

My house is finally clean enough to take a few pictures of the mantel, and new fireplace screen.

Here's our old kitty, Carrot, enjoying the fire last year. We miss him so...

And here is one of my favorite gifts this year. An old clock that came from an old friend who is no longer with us. My mom had it fixed up, and it chimes on the hour. I love it.

Below the clock on the shelf is an antique bottle with my father's sunglasses hanging. My sister gave them to me last year at Christmas. I met my father 10 years ago, and he was very sick. He passed rather quickly, and his glasses were his trademark.

Even though Christmas has turned into a busy and stressful time of year for lots of us, I'm happy to say that there is still some old fashioned sentiment left...

...I think i'll take that with me to the Next Year.

Gosh - I love your home, ABoo! It's got that "aaaaah and awwww" splashed in every nook and cranny. It seems that every item in your home has a history to it - can I come over and get the grand tour? I'd love to hear more about everything!

Annie~ your home is absolutely stunning. I imagine on a blustery & snowy day it is so wonderful to sit by that cozy fire and watch the snow fall. Just have a knack for comfort and beauty that is for sure!

How wonderful to have collected memories from your family and friends. There is nothing like it!

I know what you mean about the Chickadee's...when I am out filling the feeders they sit right on the tree branch next to it and wait for me to finish :)

Happy New Year

Visiting here is better than a cup of hot chocolate topped with a mile high stack of whipped cream and chocolate shavings on a cold winter night!
I left something special for you at my blog ... I treasure and appreciate you ABoo! Thanks for being great encouragement to me.

I can't believe your home would ever be untidy. It looks so beautiful warm and peaceful. All that history in every corner.
And your paintings and creations add to this so well.
